OUR STORY

You could say Garnacha was born from an Irish man’s valiant attempt at impressing a beautiful Mexican lady.

From the bemusement of Andrea, we discovered our shared passion for food. Over the years, an endearing quirk I would watch her live by was to always have fresh salsa in her fridge. Salsa would be used on Andrea’s tacos, sandwiches and even in her soup!

“Oh yesss, salsaaa on everything!”

 

In 2021, we decided to quit our jobs and embark on a culinary journey through Andrea’s native Mexico. Six months travelling from the magical Yucatan Peninsula to the scenic shorelines of Puerto Vallarta. On our food pilgrimage, we got a taste for technique and ingredients used for millennia by the people of Mexico.

Since returning to Dublin, we were filled with excitement to bridge these wonderful flavours to the Irish palette. So, join us on our new adventure to share the fresh, vibrant, and aromatic essence of Mexican cuisine the only way we thought fitting: Through our love of Salsa!
